How we make ExamsLab content

A practice exam is only useful if it behaves like the real one and every answer is right. This page explains how our questions are made, how they are checked and who is behind them.

What we hold ourselves to

How a question is made

  1. 1
    Map the exam

We start from the official specification and syllabus: topics, weightings, timing, calculator rules and recent changes. Our teachers turn this into a detailed brief for each exam.

  2. 2
Draft with AI, to our brief

Questions are drafted with the help of AI models, following those briefs: topic, level, format and the traps real students fall into. We are open about this; what matters is the checking that follows.

  3. 3
    Independent blind solve

A separate solver answers every question without seeing the key. Any disagreement, ambiguity or second defensible answer means the question is fixed or rewritten.

  4. 4
    Format and screen checks

Each mock is taken end to end on the real exam screen, on desktop and on a phone, to check formulas, diagrams, timing and scoring.

  5. 5
    Corrections from students

When a student reports a problem, we check it and correct the question, usually within a few days.
