How we make ExamsLab content
A practice exam is only useful if it behaves like the real one and every answer is right. This page explains how our questions are made, how they are checked and who is behind them.
What we hold ourselves to
- The official format first
Every mock follows the current official structure of its exam: sections, number of questions, timing, scoring and question styles. When an exam changes, we update our mocks.
- Original, never copied
We do not use leaked papers or recycle published past questions. Official papers are studied only to match format and difficulty.
- Every answer verified
No question goes live until its answer key has been confirmed by an independent solve that did not see the key.
- Explanations that teach
Each question explains why the right answer is right and why the tempting wrong answers are wrong, so a mistake becomes something you learn from.
How a question is made
- 1Map the exam
We start from the official specification and syllabus: topics, weightings, timing, calculator rules and recent changes. Our teachers turn this into a detailed brief for each exam.
- 2Draft with AI, to our brief
Questions are drafted with the help of AI models, following those briefs: topic, level, format and the traps real students fall into. We are open about this; what matters is the checking that follows.
- 3Independent blind solve
A separate solver answers every question without seeing the key. Any disagreement, ambiguity or second defensible answer means the question is fixed or rewritten.
- 4Format and screen checks
Each mock is taken end to end on the real exam screen, on desktop and on a phone, to check formulas, diagrams, timing and scoring.
- 5Corrections from students
When a student reports a problem, we check it and correct the question, usually within a few days.
