Privacy Notice under Law No. 6698 (KVKK)
Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), IBG Akademi Eğitim ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi ("IBG Akademi"), as data controller, informs you about the personal data processed on the examslab.net website.

2. Personal data processed
- Identity and contact: full name and e-mail address; on the payment form also telephone number, province and address.
- Account and usage: username, an irreversible hash of the password, language preference, the exams you are preparing for, mock exam results and answers, login times.
- Customer transactions: package purchased and period, amount, order number, payment status, iyzico payment ID, number of instalments, card type and the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card, record of contract acceptance.
- Transaction security: IP address, session and security logs.
- Exam answers and voice recordings: answers you write in the question bank and mock exams; IELTS Writing texts; the spoken answers you record with your microphone in the IELTS Speaking section and their transcripts.
The card number, expiry date and security code are not seen or stored by IBG Akademi; they are processed only by iyzico on iyzico's payment page. If you enter a Turkish ID number on the payment form, it is passed only to iyzico and is not stored by IBG Akademi.
3. Purposes of processing
Creating and managing your account; providing access to the content purchased; concluding and performing the distance sales agreement; receiving and verifying payment; invoicing, accounting and tax obligations; answering refund and support requests; ensuring information security and preventing misuse; meeting obligations towards the competent authorities.
4. Legal grounds and method of collection
Your data are collected electronically and by automated means through the forms on the website and during use, and are processed on the legal grounds in Article 5(2) of KVKK: (c) the conclusion or performance of a contract, (ç) the data controller's legal obligations, (e) the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, and (f) legitimate interest, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed.
5. Transfers
- To iyzico Ödeme Hizmetleri A.Ş., a payment institution licensed under Law No. 6493, to carry out the payment (full name, e-mail, telephone, address, IP address, order details);
- To the hosting provider on which the website runs (technical infrastructure);
- On request, to competent public authorities, to the extent permitted by law.
Messages you write to the AI assistant on the website are sent to a service provider abroad to generate a reply and are not stored on our server; please do not write personal data to the assistant. When you use "Check with AI" or complete the IELTS Writing and Speaking sections, your answers and your Speaking recordings are sent to our AI service providers abroad (Anthropic PBC, OpenAI) so that they can be assessed. Your name and e-mail address are not sent to these providers. If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, e-mail address and account ID from Google.
6. Retention
Speaking recordings are kept for as long as your account remains open, so that you can listen to your own work again; you can ask for them to be deleted at any time at info@examslab.net. Account data are kept for as long as your account remains open, and payment and accounting records for 10 years as required by the relevant legislation (Tax Procedure Law, Turkish Commercial Code); at the end of these periods they are deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
7. Your rights (KVKK Article 11)
You have the right to learn whether your personal data are processed and, if so, to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether the data are used for that purpose; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom the data are transferred; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and deletion or destruction under Article 7 of KVKK, and notification of these operations to the third parties to whom the data were transferred; to object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems; and to claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing.
8. Applications
You can send your requests in writing, with information that verifies your identity and in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Applications to the Data Controller, to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Mah. 2813 Sk. İlko Yapı Koop. No: 8 Çankaya/Ankara, to the registered e-mail address ibgakademi@hs01.kep.tr, or from the e-mail address registered on the website to info@examslab.net. Applications are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
For users under 18, applications may also be made by a parent or guardian.
